Technology is growing at a fast rate many new technologies are invented  with the years going on. There are some technology facts which are very weird but true. 1.Email existed before the World Wide Web.

You probably didn't even thought that email existed before world wide web. Yeah but it's true
There is an interesting clip on YouTube  "How to send an Email-Database-1984.This was from a tech TV show called Database and the presenters demonstrated what it took to actually send an email back in those days.
You had to use a computer and a rotary telephone to connect to a service called Micronet. These was pre-WWW so there were no URLs, just numbered web pages and the web page number for email was 7776.

2.Qwerty Keypad was designed to slow you down.

Actually there are two theories to this. First one is that and only makes sense when you look at manual typewriters. If somebody type too fast it will jam keys so qwerty placed common alphabets at a distance to slowdown typist.

Another theory is that telegraph writers designed qwerty layout because it was easier and faster to decipher Morse code,

3.In 1956,5 megabytes (MB) of data weighted a ton.

Yes it's true in old times technology was not advanced as today. In 1956 IBM  launched RAMAC, the first computer with something like hard drive and the weight of it was around a ton.

4.Alaska 

Alaska is the only state in America which can be typed on one row of a traditional English QWERTY keyboard.

5.Company running without any supervision.

There is a factory in Japan which can run unsupervised for 1month at a time. Robots build other robots at the rate of 50 per 24-hour shift. These factories are called as “lights out” factories because no human appearance is needed. FANUC, the Japanese robotics company, has been operating this autonomous factory since 2001.
